Gordienko and Buzurtanov, essential support staff for Russian Boxer Ali Izmailov, Granted P-1S Visa

The Oakhurst Legal Group is pleased to announce that the essential support personnel of Russian boxer Ali Izmailov, Mr. Gennedy Gordienko and Mr. Khusein Buzurtanov, were granted the P-1S visas. Mr. Gordienko is the trainer/coach of Ali while Mr. Buzurtanov is his manager. Since both of them perform support services to Mr. Izmailov both qualified for the P-1S classification. 

P-1S Classification for Essential Support Personnel 

Essential support personnel are eligible for P-1S classification if they are an integral part of the performance of a P-1 nonimmigrant and perform support services that cannot be readily performed by a U.S. worker. Support personnel may include coaches, scouts, trainers, broadcasters, referees, linesmen, umpires, and interpreters. 

As trainer/coach and manager of Mr. Ali Izmailov, Mr. Gordienko and Mr. Buzurtanov, respectively, play an important role in Mr. Ali’s performance. They both perform support services that are not readily available in the United States. In order for them to have the P-1S visa, they are required to file a separate Form I-129 for essential support personnel.

Gennedy Gordienko is the trainer/coach of the Russian boxer Ali Izmailov. In the petition, it was shown that Mr. Gordienko’s role as trainer/coach is important to the successful performance of Mr. Izmailov. Being the trainer/coach, he is responsible for Mr. Izmailov’s physical and mental health management, Physical Education, Training, Analysis and Reporting, Diet Management, and First aid and Medical Management. 

On the other hand, Khusein Buzurtanov, being the manager of Ali Izmailov, he has skills of combat sports manager such as Athlete Management, Knowledge of Combat Sport Event Management, Combat Sports Safety and Medical Management, Contracts & Negotiation, Excellent Communication, and Logistics Management.
